Fantastic beaches

Being on an island has the advantage that whatever direction you go in you reach a beach.

Llanddwyn Beach Newborough

This blue flag beach is ideal for windsurfing, surfing, sea canoeing and sailing. The beach itself is very long and perfect for walking. It is surrounded by a forest nature reserve.

Rhosneigr beach is often the choice for families. It is a long sheltered beach with soft sand.

Red Wharf bay is on the North West of the island and offers a very picturesque day trip.

Church bay is a sand and pebble beach with a green coast award. It is backed with cliffs and coastal footpaths.

Try a different beach every day

Whose favourite beach?

Walk straight from the cottage to the coast path for the perfect morning stroll. Stop at seal point to look for seals and continue to the Boathouse hotel.

  • Current favourite is Trearddur bay which also has a childrens playground and the essential ice cream vans
  • Close second is Port Dafach, the photgraphers favourite
  • Fish from Newry beach in Holyhead
  • Please contact us with your choice
